Who knows, but one way or another the gross incompetence of the Russian state was once again on full display. Imagine an army of 25,000 murderers, thieves, and rapists travelling uninterrupted all the way to the doorsteps of the capital to takedown the government. These sort of incidents happen in nations such as Chad, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, and now Russia. Putin has been disgraced.
If they are looking for scapegoats for their disastrous military campaign in Ukraine, they now have Shoigu and Gerasimov. Might provide those behind the scenes with an out to remove Putin, blame the two generals, pull out of Ukraine, and maintain the status quo and keep stealing from the masses in Russia as they have for generations before.
Let's see what the next few days bring. But one thing is clear, Russia is a basket case.
