Not an economist. Neither are most of the EU leaders, who are leading the EU into recession. He does report a lot of news from Russian media, and, allowing for some Russian bias, I find that balance sometimes useful.

Right now Russia is experiencing enery/transport and food issues.

When delivery, processing and management issues come in with the shortages of able bodies, technocrats and gear, funny things happen pretty quick civil unrest kicks in.

Happened to USSR in 1998, could happen again.
