one question asked by DW, was along the lines of :- "how come russians are so impressed with st poots"

hey lomu -- but you obviously do not know the first thing about the soviet union/afghan war .. initially the soviet union refused a request from the aghan government to help out a bit.. as always, the american cia were in afghanistan fomenting unrest .. and eventually the soviet union went in to sort out a problem in a bordering country.. when a vote (by the soviet leadership) was taken to go into afghanistan - the vote was tied .. and the casting vote was from the leader of the soviet union at the time ..

mm and as usual, the americans were supplying the anti russian forces in afghanistan with equipment and organized for jihadis from other countries to join the fight ..

for what it is worth, but russia helped the americans when they were in afghanistan
