I presume that you are aware that it was the Russians that found and developed Catoca!! Manfred Marx worked in Botswana, WA (he has an association with Miles that is more than 20 years old) and now Angola.
And yes I do know the difference between South Africa and Russia.
Are you aware of the links between the MPLA (the ruling party of Angola), the Russians and Cuba? I presume you are aware it was the Russians who backed the MPLA against UNITA and South Africa.
What about that in order to repay the substantial debts that Angola owed to Russia for the provisions of arms during the Angolan civil war, that Alroa (the national Russian diamond producer) ended up with a 32% stake in Catoca as part settlement of the outstanding debts.
