We have to remember that the truth is the first casualty of war but even if Putin's invaders have lost half those numbers not only will it make them have a rethink but it will be a huge moral boost to the Ukrainians. I wonder how the defensive losses are going, there would have to be substantial infrastructure damage but if the soldiers can survive and be resupplied by friendly neighbouring countries then the Russians may not have the stomach for a protracted war against determined defenders.
