Shareholders, all current holders regular posters on HC. What started the collective was IMO, in a nutshell, a dramatic fall in the share price triggered by a number of factors, worldwide crash in commodity prices and equity markets, pensador billion$ deal didn't go ahead, and, in the absolute MIDDLE of the fall, the company CVI made a 75 million shares placement to at 20 odd cents per share, sold the lot on market all the way down to 9 cents. And then another placement at arround 15 cents subsequently sold off continuing the fall. The money from the placements that went into Pensador, which fell through- The money wasn't returned to CVI, but was used to increase it's stake in Canzar diamonds (now a 20% stake) leaving not alot of money in the kitty. A subsequent entitlement issue which holders didn't like as it was done at a low base (but subsequently worked in CVI's favour allowing them to place as much scrip as they like up to 400mil at higher prices. ) Emails from Smyth that didn't eventuate. Combined with alot of talk about assets that didn't belong to CVI, a website also was setup for this purpouse debunking CVI and Angola as being a corrupt place that does however provide a good summary of CVI's assets, Mark giving options to his son in law, his son made a squillion trading cvi (actually he lost 300k), Matanda asset awarded to someone else, Mark didn't take up his entitlements, all this combined which led to a snow ball. But nevertheless, created Opportunity. Shareholders and those who sold were ropable and hence the collective action. It is a good thing IMO and by the pressure put on, led to the bonus option.
