Rutilla likely be mothballed

Todd are going to Mothball Rutilla.

Another Pilbara iron ore project appears destined for mothballs, with New Zealand Todd Corporation yesterday launching a $11.1 million bid to take the Nick Curtis-chaired Rutila Resources off the Australian Securities Exchange.


The bid means Rutila’s late attempt to become a Pilbara producer is at least temporarily on ice, with Todd Corp — one of New Zealand’s biggest private conglomerates — likely to keep its $2.2 billion Balla Balla project in abeyance until a new window opens in the iron ore price cycle.
