Brokers Hartleys has been in the market for Queensland-focussed Red River Resources, raising about $6 million at 12¢ a share.
Street Talk understands Hartleys has closed the book for Red River Resources' equity placement, which is set to fund the company's Thalanga Zinc Project in Queensland and exploration.
It's understood Red River Resources is considering extending the placement to $9 million, which would require a second tranche and shareholder approval.
The raising was done at a 0.5¢ discount to Red River Resources' last close.

Red River Resources bought its Thalanga project, located west f Charters Towers in central Queensland, from Kagara Ltd in 2014, when the company's share price was less than 1¢.

Red River Resources is expected to confirm the raising on Wednesday.
The company's shares are in a trading halt.
