Expanding on on that statement while aknowledging economies  of scale are lacking there are positives such as much more enthusiastic employees as they are not so much a number which enables sweeter cherries to be identified and exploited. Thus smaller companies are able to run leaner and implement technologies and improvements easier. Case and point better copper recovery and where did all that silver come from.  Unfortunately the dollar signs of this improvement will not show up until the next quarter which devalues my argument for the present day.
