The notice included tin the first post in this thread has nothing to do with any cap raise by or for Richmond Vanadium Pty Ltd but rather is to do with Richmond Vanadium Pty Ltd's project getting the nod from the Qld Coordinator-General to be accepted as a "coordinated project" (which of course is good news). The meaning of this is

"When a project is declared 'coordinated', it triggers the requirement for a rigorous environmental impact assessment process to be undertaken; and the proponent must prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) or an impact assessment report (IAR).

The Office of the Coordinator-General assists proponents through complex government processes by facilitating assessment by local, state and federal government agencies and managing public notification of the EIS or IAR and other related documentation."

Note that the draft terms of reference for the project's EIS is still being prepared so this part of the journey is just kicking off.

The details in the notice are descriptors of the project, nothing more. Just as the Qld Gov is not providing 50 construction workers to the project it is not providing all of any of $242m in capital for the project.

QG is providing some funds, $10m, to establish a vanadium common user facility in Townsville to help "a number of smaller mining companies in Queensland [that] are seeking to develop vanadium projects in the Julia Creek and Richmond regions ... At least $10 million has been committed from the Invested in Queensland program towards a vanadium common user facility in Townsville as an industrial pilot and demonstration facility for mineral processing.".
