Judi Rever, a Canadian journalist who spent years researching the Rwandan tragedy, has received many death threats for uncovering the truth. She has interviewed many former RPF military who paint a very different picture of Tutsi military leader, and current Rwandan president Paul Kagame.
As wiki states " In 2006, an eight-year investigation by the French judge Jean-Louis Bruguière concluded that Paul Kagame had ordered the assassination." Years later, under very suspicious circumstances, this finding was overturned.
Kagame knew that that the Tutsi minority could never seize power democratically. His Tutsi regime infiltrated the north of Rwanda from neighbouring Uganda where they trained and organised, benefitting from the support of the Ugandan government, among others. He knew the situation in Rwanda was like a tinderbox waiting for a spark to ignite hell on earth. That spark came with the assasination of the moderate Hutu president.
While Hutu extremists took advantage of the situation to unleash terror on the Tutsi population in the south of the country, which is what we know as the Rwandan Genocide, much evidence suggests that the RPF was carrying out its own genocide of the Hutu civilians as they advanced from the north.
What must be remembered is that after gaining power in Rwanda, Paul Kagame's Tutsi regime then invaded Zaire in 1996 in what was known as the First Congo War. It is estimated that around 2 million Rwandan Hutus had fled Rwanda after the Genocide, officially because they feared reprisal attacks in Rwanda, but now widely accepted because they were being slaughtered by the Tutsi regime. Regardless, many of these refugees, mostly families, were slaughtered during the invasion and hunted down in the forests of the Congo like animals. Over the next ten years it is estimated that the deaths in Zaire/Congo reached over 5 million, in the deadliest conflict since WWII.
