Yep it was an opportunistic tilt at a deal with Novartis with a trial subsidised by the NIH that didn't work out.
Spun as a "success" story despite
1. Trial ordered stopped by DSMB because of futility
2. Novartis walking away after seeing the data
Lots of lame excuses.
