The USA is far less vaccinated then Australia.
Although Hunt did come out a few days ago and say that 2/3 of those in ICU are unvacced in Australia.
Think about that.
1/3 in the ICU are fully vacced. That ratio is changing dramatically. Your only twice as likely to end up in ICU if you are unvacced. I'm being broad as I get that there are only 5-10% unvaccinated in this country.
Do you reckon it might be because the vaccines were never tested on Delta or Omicron? If the vaccines are effective, that's quite a magic trick.
Variants are being found regularly. There is one in France now that came from Africa that is being monitored. We want them to be highly contagious (so that they can dominate and over power the other variants) but at the same time be less deadly and taxing on the body. Omicron is the pick of the bunch so far.
