IMO, RWNJs personal identity is comprehensively tied into RW/Far RW politics when in fact a mix of RW & LW economic strategies to deal with political & economic issues facing Aus are apt.
For example when Abbot was elected in 2013 the Libs were taken deeper into Neo-Liberalism of small Government, low taxes and minimal Government interference in business.
All of that changed with" -fires of 2019 -Covid 2020 -and now inflation.
These problems required "socialist" remedies such as Government assistance to fire victims, Government Job Seeker/Job Keeper splash to businesses and workers , and now petrol & welfare handouts in lieu of a spike in the cost of living.
All these measures are Keynesian (socialist) and implemented by a Government that purports to be Right Wing (Remember the Libs got rid of Malcolm because they thought he was too "liberal")
So that leaves the RWNJs like shags on rocks with little or no support from the main political parties........How inconvenient...eh?
