The way our defamation law works is that the onus of proof is squarely on the person who defames. Everyone posting here needs to keep in mind that assumptions, joining dots, speculation with no facts or facts that can be explained in non corrupt ways do not cut it in court. While rare, Hotcopper members have been sued with bankruptcy the common outcome for them. HC used to have a legal fund to defend members. You may agree with Yach's comment but it was legally stupid nevertheless. The fact that I warned Yach about defamation does not mean I think members on this thread are stupid. Legally stupid and stupid are very different.
