I have come to the conclusion that the share market is merely a vessel to transfer money from the middle class to the elites. These performance shares and bonuses are in some companies outrageous. Many companies are lifestyle companies where the directors are being paid and given performance share rights at times at very low bars set. During the time of low interest rates many companies around the world did share buy backs which increased the SP and triggered performance bonuses without increasing productivity or expanding the company. Researching the Iraq/Afghanistan war most of the US companies supplying arms, food, weapons etc on 20-year government contracts paid by tax payers made huge profits and some execs performance rights went as high as $30 million p.a. I am all for directors to be given performance rights but they should have decent outcomes to trigger them. All my opinion and research not financial advice in any form.
