Excellent stuff @shorns76. However I have a question regarding this taken from commsec options product disclosure statement:
"Commsec will automatically exercise any Option position that is in the money on the date of expiry by 1c or more...."
Italics are theirs , not mine . Taken from page 20. Disclosure statement and some nifty examples etc can be seen by going to trading and options and download pdf whatever in commsec. It's always had me curious, and after having lost a parcel of vtxo from reading this, i'm even more curious.
