People need to stop blaming management, day traders, supposed rigged stock exchange whatever for losses.
First rule of share trading is to protect your capital - cut losses short you can always buy back in later.
Buying into speculative stocks is very risky so if you are not watching the stock constantly you really need to have stop loss orders in place.
