He needs 4 more Test wins to overtake Clive Lloyd as the most successful Test captain ever.
I think that is his greatest motivation,apart from getting the 10,000 runs and his average up to 50.
If he had the same amount of not-outs as M.Waugh,Ponting,Martyn his average would be 41.
It`s all the not-outs that has got his average up to 50.
I can count more than 10 times when he took a single off the first ball of the over and let Glenn Mcgrath face the next five-great leadership Steve.
If he deserved an average of 50,i`d congratulate him,but he doesn`t,he has 42 not-outs.
Ponting has 12 not-outs.
I agree with Dean Jones that if you don`t bat in the top 5,you`re not rated.
