BSL make around 3 million tonnes of steel at PK so they would consume around 2 million tonnes of coking coal each year to produce that volume of steel
They also manufacture coke for the export market which was very lucrative last year however I'm not sure now that the coal prices have increased. It would be interesting to know what percentage of Illawarra coal production BSL take. BSL recently purchased a scrap business in the US which is feed for their North star steel mill maybe they would consider a similar purchase a the PK. Disclaimer I do own BSL & S32.
