This transition is so exciting it's a shame that so many are missing that aspect of it.
Coal, oil and gas might still be in high demand in the future but not for energy released from combustion. When those 'silly' scientists find ways to use it all for other purposes their status will be elevated instead of being ridiculed and the coal lobby will turn green overnight.
Exciting times and respect to Jay Weatherill for seeing this through when so many have tried to break him.
