I don’t think you can knock a man for showing some emotion about his mum, especially when per passing wasn’t all that long ago.

I just don’t get what he was being emotional about.

She wanted to be a barrister, but circumstances meant she became a teacher instead, worked in London (not exactly the norm back in the day) and eventually became a barrister but found the boys club hard to deal with.

Um, ok...but it still sounds like a pretty ok life. Some doors might have been shut, but people face these issues each and every day. The disabled comes to mind.

I’m not trying to be harsh, but just can’t understand the raw emotion on this one.
