Good post Agentm, it is worth focusing on the high grade that SBR has turned up at Schlangental.

The 1m at 19.62% is from channel sampling in the bottom of one of the old pits that are approximately 3 - 4m in depth. To me this represents that the old time miners were pulling out high grade copper when mining ceased.

Reasoning for why they moved has been discussed in the previous thread but basically at the time Kombat seemed like a biggger prospect. With out the aid of modern exploration techniques however it poses the question, was a mistake made in not pursuing Schlangental??? Could Schlangental be better and bigger than Kombat 8.7 Mt @ 3.1% Cu, 1.1% Pb & 26 gpt Ag? Only time will tell, however it remains a possibility. We currently know there is good grades over long sections (42 metres @ 3.58% Copper & 18.34 gpt Silver) at surface in the bottom of the old pits and there is small outcrop over a large area.

The RAB drilling will better identify the extent of mineralisation under the sand cover but the real test will come with RC and diamond drilling to determine what lies at depth. Schlangental presents a very prospective developement for SBR and one that could see a considerable re rate if the channel sampling is representative of what is at depth. The added bonus is the flat and accessible topography which means this will progress at a far more rapid rate than what we have seen at Guchab.

    Food for thought.
