There was news release that budget Air Asia is going to fly to Adelaide and has opted for Avalon in Victoria.The problem is Avalon does not have an immigration and custom clearance point but Air Asia wants to fly there because of cheap airport taxes.Tiger air was trying the same but failed lately. Question is why ? Jetsar has stated that it is not going to fly international routes from Avalon,gets very interesting why again.Problem is Air Asia is willing to charge 1/3 the prices of jetstar and is going to burn jetstar.If the government is truly realistic of budget competition than it has to support the budget open airline competetiveness.Build the immigration and custom clearance required for the interest of the public,bring in heaps of tourist to boost local economies and not protect Jetstar cause it has no interest in its workers but only a profit at any cost.
