By that reasoning, as long as you walk away with the child (not run)you've done no wrong?
Just how far can you walk before it becomes obvious that your intentions are suspect?
My scenario with a the handbag would see you charged regardless whether you were walking or running or how far away you were.
It appears the legal fraternity places a different value on money.
