I think the idea of a squandered lead to not be fair. The company seems to expand at a pace that fits with their customers this is why the global recession isn't really a concern for me. This business is a custom product to customer spec. Just like their covid and water experience, I think the approach will pay off in the long run.
Secondly, a bigger western supply base means more up stream western customers. This will stabilise the price and build a market outside China which will be good for long term growth, less up and down on China whims.
