I think a good and productive point of focus for everyone in truly judging WOW leadership, will be the upcoming half year, with particular reference, to the General Merchandise ie, BIG W business unit's performance.

WES/Kmart are smashing home runs and frankly, have been for some time, Big W always seems to be in the middle of some form of "restructuring/repositioning" in the market.

Clearly, there's real dollars to be made n the general merch sector....if you've got the management skill to get on with it...in fact, you could say Kmart's grabbed the entire space and is milking it well.....very well....so, let's see how WOW's leadership is performing in this space, relative to WES.

From the latest WES half yr update...."Kmart Group delivered record earnings for the half...." and "For the first five weeks of the second half of the 2024 financial year, Kmart Group has continued to deliver strong sales growth...."

[Note: WES does NOT own COL]
