The other aspect with the CEO's political statements (and impliedly those of WOW's Chairman and Board) is that those who support Australia Day being abolished or downgraded (a small minority given a recent opinion pollster's findings) are not likely to shop any more at WOW, but there's some chance the big majority who voted 'NO' on 14 October 2023 in the referendum may lessen their visit frequency and/or spend.

Even if WOW only takes a 0.01 per cent hit to its share of the Nielsen-audited scans of products or its supermarket revenues, WOW may still suffer reputational damage.

You'd think Bradford Banducci would have learn from spending $1.55 million of SF funds on overtly backing the huge failure that was the 'YES' referendum campaign.

Many Coalition voters (who would be the majority of retail SH) are deeply unimpressed by these woke companies.

I avoid investing in them, but we're all aware that the union-controlled industry superannuation funds and foreign institutions such as BlackRock call the shots these days.
