You seem to completely misunderstand or simply cannot comprehend the substance of the issue!
No-one, except you and your deadbeat leftie mates made an issue of where the "Australia Day" merchandise was made, no-one except you and your deadbeat leftie mates, made a (serious) issue of whether WOW should stock or not, "Australia Day" themed items....the issue, is that the company (ie, the CEO) ITSELF, deliberately made a public issue of the entire matter and a less than favourable "spectacle" of the company.
WOW (ie, the CEO) brought upon itself, a very public mountain of unnecessary and unproductive angst, which no-doubt did have some impact on sales, even if likely, only for a short time.
Any retailer who causes their own decline in sales, through a completely unnecessary and unproductive public action....well, you'd have to question the fundamental skillset of that retailer (ie, the CEO)!
Today, tomorrow, next week, WOW management will decide to stock or not stock different merchandise and we won't see any Press Releases issued!
