You're missing the bigger picture.
We ought all be proud of what's been achieved since the First Fleet landed in 1788.
A young nation has been built that many overseas express a desire to live in.
Unfortunately WOW's essential denigration of Australia Day is the exact opposite to what large (and small) corporates ought to be doing. WOW is saying to us that nothing matters re our Judeo-Christian ethics, the way Catholic and Protestant immigrants initially coexisted, our successful British legal system, how Chinese flocked to the gold rush, how our cities such as Adelaide were designed by far sighted individuals (look at the iconic road grid) and how we fought bravely in WWI and WWII.
It's ironic that the CEO comes from the same nation pursuing a disgraceful false claim against Israel internationally.
SH value destruction by management is regrettably underway at WOW, much as so many of us have previously regarded it as a great place to shop.
