I truly doubt it. there are a range of "maybe if" scenarios to be considered. he said at the start this was what the Uluru statement and mob asked for and rightfully said it should be a grassroots campaign. he asked Dutton for bipartisanship for the betterment of uniting the nation behind the Aboriginal people. he asked quietly and respectfully. but Dutton saw his chance, held off his decision till after the Aston byelection and then started his No! campaign as stridently reviling the Yes! case as he could imagine. no, this is Dutton's success.... I doubt any Albanese "maybe if" had done would have changed the result much at all. maybe I'll go fishing with a nice fluffy nymph myself, Albanese deserves a bit of off-time and then get back to work.

Hey Scott, It's likely not what Dutton said. I'd like to know the percentage of no voters who actually listened to anything Dutton said. It's what Albanese didn't say. Also what he didn't read. Q
