Australia's 'voice' has spoken at the ballot box and that's all that matters..
the ALP only have themselves to blame for mis reading the room .. all they had to do was wander down to a pub and canvas a few people about a referendum .. the response would have been in stark contrast to the false positive they were getting from the back slapping and consensus echoing trips to the NT that they then chose as the 'content' to attempt to convince the rest of Australia with
thank god it's over.. it was a pointless, expensive, poorly conceived and poorly executed shambles
the vitriol and hatred that it has dredged up to the surface has scarred this country for life and the blatant stupidity and false optimism of the 'yes' campaign. The blanket media coverage, of such a nothing burger campaign and ultimate event, leaves a sour taste and imho was actually a cruel hoax upon those of aboriginal descent who outed themselves to clap along with the 'yes' group delusion
the whole exercise has been an insult to common sense, reason and reality..
