All this brouhaha about a single referendum. Went on for months before the Big Day and the result was a fizzer, as expected. The last one before this one was in 1999! The Swiss had eleven referenda last year, and they are loving it! Time we moved to their system; we might get somewhere for a change. Btw: the Swiss sell us PC-21 advanced trainer aircraft; they have sold us a number of different aircraft types, both military and civil, over many years. We are one of their biggest customers. They have a population of about 9 million. We are over 20 million. Where has our indigenous (oops, naughty word) aircraft manufacturing industry gone? I'll tell you; essentially nowhere. So much for Big Australia. No MAGA for us.
