The people didn't support the Indigenous Voice to Parliament because Dutton had to make it political rather than supporting first nations peoples. To claim that the yes vote failed because it weren't explained properly by the PM proves Dutton had made the Referendum a choice between himself and the PM and he should be ashamed of himself.
