In the era of Trumpism, which confirms >50% of any population is as dumb as a boiled egg, combined with lingering racism, conservativism, lingering colonialism and rampant disinformation it is no surprise that the No vote won the day. At least Albo should be commended for giving it a try, which is more that anyone can say for Dutton's mob of whom insist that remaining in the 1950's is the way to go with the majority of their policies.
