    Well, it's not up to the Govt to tell Holden what to do, is it?

    If Holden was not to die, they should have become as competitive as Germany, and produced cars that people want rather than still living in a pre-1973 oil crisis mentality. Still having a V6 as their flagship.

    Did you know that in Oz Ford had an instantaneous 52% increase in Territory sales when they introduced the Diesel? Where is the Diesel Commodore? I had one in the UK in 1988, which did 55 mpg. I'll bet the new ones are even better, with much more power and quieter. But Aussies will never know.

    Good riddance. They've bumbled along for too long.
