I cant understand this. Why would the Government walk away from this icon? Why reduce government assistance when the benefits far outweigh the assistance given.
The carbon tax is a red herring from the government apologists because in July when the Senate changes the carbon tax will be rescinded and is NOT the reason for Holden closing its operations. The Government is for ideology reasons walking away from assistance to the industry and that will be a factor in the companies decision.
Thousands of workers will lose their jobs. It could dampen confidence throughout Australia with devastating results.
The Government would be cutting off our noses to spite our faces with this move to not support the industry.
Please change your minds on this and support both Holden and Qantas. if you do imo many will applaud you for doing it.
