it’s pretty appalling but I find it useful in a perverse way. For a start I am constantly reminded that one can make no assumptions that others share my values or perspectives. Of course I know that but hotcopper gives me more than my own normal circle.
I am also reminded that some individuals who I know are chameleons - their views changing depending on what or whom they want to pick on at any one time, and who they want to impress.
As the world has become more connected the quality of thought appears to have deteriorated and analytical skills devalued. This is not what our communities need but then I remain an idealist maybe
