i agree the jury is still out on bucks.

of the players that are no longer there, well none would have helped this year.

daisy hardly played for 2 yrs and did bugger all this year under malthouse 750k per yr
jolly only played every 2nd game and was not keen on taking orders from a younger coach
wellingham has hardly played at west coast 500k pyr
dawes had 2yrs in the wilderness at pies and melbourne. coming good now. 500k
shaw was ok this year at gws and his onfield leadership would have helped when maxi went down. but he was disruptive. 700k
didak was gone
beams is a loss and will leave a big hole but would he have left if his father wasn't ill and his brother at brisbane. 800k
malthouse was on the verge of breaking down and quitting when they started the succession plans. then he got his life back in order and wanted to stay. too late.
couldn't afford to keep them all. next year will tell us all something especially whether bucks will make it as a coach.
