A very disappointing result for Aviva. A great project with great management.
The media and the mining industry knows Aviva's coolimba project ticked all the boxes and was clearly the best project. Unfortuately as it always does with the WA govt (a long history of corruption in our state)the best project did not win out. I've spoken to a lot of people over the last few days and the unanimous consensus is that Barnett and his guys just don't get it . After all, they are politicians and not energy people. Verve is a 20th century state controlled dinosaur with very old plant. This decision was government public servants looking after their own. WA misses out on a great project.
