Bush administration officials have told NBC News that Saddam Hussein and his sons may have been killed today in a precision bomb strike.

According to reporter Andrea Mitchell, Saddam and his sons were together at a meeting and that the location, in a Baghdad residential neighborhood, was targeted by multiple "bunker busters" dropped from U.S. bombers.
The network says the U.S. received "extremely reliable" intelligence information on the precise whereabouts of the Hussein family.
Sources were not ruling out the possibility that Saddam had moved before the 2,000-pound smart bombs struck, but they did indicate the strong likelihood that all were dead if they had been present.
According to Fox News, a senior defense official, speaking only on condition of anonymity, said a single B-1 bomber carried out the strike, dropping four bombs.
Broadcast reports say British intelligence had broken a code used by Iraqi leadership, helping to pinpoint the location.
Officials at U.S. Central Command in Qatar reportedly confirmed the airstrike but would not comment on its possible effect.
