Yes saddam would be nuts if he thinks he can beat the US but the end of the day how easy it will be for the US to defeat Iraq will depend on who the Iraqi people hate more the US or Saddam. My money is on them hating the US more.
At the end of the day it is the US who will be ultimately responsible for civilian deaths from any military action. It is also the US who will potentialy be commiting a war crime by attacking Iraq. It will alos be the US who are potentially committing a war crime if civilian targets are disproportionately targeted.
As for GZ post that Israel, if your way of thinking is used is guilty of putting its own people at risk is valid. All they have to do is get up and leave Israel - no more threat.
