interesting to see the change in GWB once he is away from the Pentagon; the televised press conference with Blair in Belfast showed a far more conciliatory even handed GWB.

From the manner in which GWB deferred to him Blair has gained GWB's well earned respect which is going to give him much more stick in the UK parliament and the EU. And Ireland.

Unlike GWB Blair was politically out on a limb with no support at home or in the EU yet did not waver one inch. GWB has always had the luxury of overwhelming support of his people.
