I've got a few friends who are 'academic' lefty's, they're even worse than the standard lefty. A standard 'lefty' believes anything that supports his/her point of view is fact as soon as he reads it, an 'academic lefty' believes anything he writes in line with his/her point of view is immediately to be regarded as fact- so the academic lefty gets first bite of the cherry.
