    Sorry to confirm it for everyone, but my sister in law who is 29 years old, and self employed running her own business, and university educated, and bright, said she was probably going to vote for Gillard as it is so wonderful and groundbreaking for Australia to have a female PM.
    I nearly choked.
    She said that she thought she would have more family friendly policies because she is a woman.
    I nearly threw up.

    I reminded her in very stringent email a few days later that voting for someone basd on theor gender was EXACTLY what feminists had fought all these years, and that a true feminist would vote on merit only REGARDLESS of gender.

    I also sent her a wiki link on Maggie Thatcher.
