Although substantially better then the John Greeves's days this cash salary is too high.
All board salaries should be performance based. The best way to truly link board members salaries to performance is to pay a large proportion of their salary in shares purchased on the market.
If all board members had half of their salary paid in shares purchased from the market this would ensure that they were serious about improving the share price and not just turning up to collect a pay packet.
