Mike - I don't think you are a down ramper. What I think you have fallen into is when you hold , you see the positives and when you don't the negatives are more obvious . We all deal with it to various extents. Often we repress the negative side of an investment when holding , but when we don't hold we allow these sentiments to reign . I know I am a betters devils advocate when I don't hold . I try to be balanced but I have noticed this happen to me in the past . It's a case of seeing both sides of the argument but expressing one .
As to your sale vs not sale argument - today was about sentiment and short covering - whether LH was best kept will depend on U price . If it shots upto 60 and beyond this year, then you would have been correct , if not then companies move better . Having said that from a risk management point of view I agree with the move
