thing that has been whacked. Why would you sell the asset in incurr capital gains tax at 39% when you could make a take over offer for the stock and, put the capital gains into the shareholders hands, who in the majority of cases would have a much lower CGT rate than 39%.
this smells like directors doing the best for themselves not acting the best interests of shareholders.
