gee you do seem to spend a lot of time on this site.
nobody on this thread said anything about whichever company has the lower P/E is better value.
let me guess you are one of those value investors who knows everything there is about stock selection. u use DCF to determine value, then look at other factors such as long term prospects, industry factors, and quality of company management etc. then you work out whether the price is fair value or below before making a stock selection... you may even go so far as have various positive and negative filters.... geez mate the way you talk just shows how little you know about investing. we've never professed to say P/E is a determinant of value, it is just a ratio that is considered when assessing stock.
go get a life. what baffles me is why i even reply to you.
