I liked reading MB’s posts as they were well researched and regularly provided me with new information, but most of all they were always full of what I wanted to hear. But while I did like what he would say, I did find the analysis of the potential down side was lacking. Although often it took the gloss off, I do find people like Nursery and RoaminOz who often presented the other side of the equation to be very valuable. I know it’s a tough job going against popular opinion and telling hard truths so thank you guys. I have always been cautious to not surround myself with people who will just tell me what I want hear. That is a recipe for disaster.
The reality for me is that I am heavily invested (from my perspective anyway) in Eden and the product is great and I think it will be adopted widely. But just because this product is firmly on my radar and I believe it is the next big thing in concrete, it does not mean that our potential customers feel this way.
The Georgia Govt has a vested interest in our company, due to the employment and taxes we will be bringing to them (not to mention the PR for Governor Deal). They have been quick to move (through GDOT) to incorporate Edencrete. Other DOT’s may have approved our product, but are not vested in us like GDOT, so it will take time for them to come on board. Govt Departments work in silos and often there is a lot of red tape and even a lack of communication between them. I think a lot of the issues in Georgia were gotten around because this was being driven by the executive arm of govt (politicians) whereas we don’t have any relationships like this outside of Georgia and will have to work through the departments themselves.
It will be interesting to see the value of the full slab replacement projects from GDOT. Having digested the information I am unsure of how much revenue this will provide. Hopefully it will be enough for us to get by. The big money for me will not start until next year when the class A results are final and hopefully Edencrete is mandated for Class A. That would be huge. Of course other sales might pop up, I hope they do, but I am not relying on it.
I believe the company is doing a good job and we are on the right track. I don’t think the track is the get rich quick track we were all hoping for, but I am sure we are still on the get rich track at this stage.
All in my opinion and that guff.
Good luck to all.

The sale to the Texas precaster is probably only worth $1M per year , however it could be a precursor for multiple sales to precasters in many states and may provide the early sales we need due to less regulatory hurdles to jump for precasters than for roading with Transport departments .
